What is Frozen Shoulder?

Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes stiff and painful due to thickening and tightening of the joint capsule. Over time, movement becomes severely restricted.

Common Causes of Frozen Shoulder

Often develops gradually and may follow:

Prolonged Immobilization – After injury or surgery
Diabetes or Medical Conditions – Higher risk in certain individuals
Lack of Movement – Leads to stiffness buildup
Age Factors – More common between ages 40–60

Symptoms to Watch For

✔ Progressive Stiffness – Gradual loss of motion
âś” Persistent Shoulder Pain
✔ Difficulty with Daily Activities – Dressing, reaching, grooming
✔ Limited Range of Motion – Especially external rotation
